Dear Prospective Member,
Thanks for your interest in becoming a member of SABA. We are an all-volunteer organization representing the communities of Saugatuck, Douglas, and the immediate area. Membership brings with it many perks and benefits that are available to you.

Any time of the year is a good time to join SABA. We are a volunteer organization and we are only as strong and effective as our membership allows.

Who can join?
Any business or non-profit organization located in the Saugatuck/Douglas area or doing business in the area can become a member.

What does it cost?
Regular membership is $200 per year, $50 per year for non-profits. Promotional events such as Sidewalk Sale and A Night Before Christmas are self-supporting and require a minimal contribution toward advertising.

Why do I want to join?

Free exposure in our Brochure. You are included in our customer friendly, pocket or purse, brochure. Over 200 area businesses and services are listed in this very functional brochure. In 2010, we printed 70,000 brochures that were distributed through member businesses, the information booth, the U.S. mail upon request, and in Welcome Centers throughout the State. (Members who join after February 1 cannot be included until their second year of membership.)

Free exposure on our website - www.saugatuckdouglas.com. You also get a free link to your own web site to help guide customers to you. If you don't have a website, we will help you create a one-page brochure web page at no extra charge - a potential $200 value!

Free membership in the Small Business Association of Michigan (SBAM) - https://sbam.org. SBAM is the only statewide and state-based association that focuses solely on serving the needs of Michigan’s small business community. They have served small businesses like yours in all 83 counties of Michigan since 1969. Located in Lansing, just one block from the Capitol, SBAM's mission is to help Michigan small businesses succeed by promoting entrepreneurship, leveraging buying power and engaging in political advocacy.

Free business education opportunities. SABA offers business education courses free to members on subjects of interest to members and their employees.

Insurance - Preferred rates rates on Priority Health Care Coverage and Business Property, Liability, Work Comp plus Auto (through authorized member agents.)

Membership helps support SABA sponsored community events which in turn helps us present a vibrant community to consumers.

You are in the communication loop through regular email blasts and monthly meetings.

You have a voice in matters important to the business community. Member comments through surveys and participation in meetings make a difference.

You will be invited to network with your fellow business owners through regular social events with food and refreshments as well as business meetings.
